The Grace Choir

Adults and older teens by invitation

The Grace Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30pm from September to June, leading worship on most Sundays at the 9:30 a.m. Eucharist. The choir is open to everyone, regardless of experience or skill level; rehearsals are fast-paced, but we’re committed to helping anyone along!

The Grace Choir considers itself a subset of the church’s true choir: the entire congregation. As such, its first and foremost role is to lead the congregation’s song in hymns, psalms, chanted prayers, and canticles. The Choir performs choral anthems from a wide variety of traditions, from Anglican anthems to African-American spirituals, singing music from the 8th century to the 21st century. The Grace Choir also participates in several area choir festivals and other special performances throughout the year.

Summer Choir

The Summer Choir (open to all adults and teens) is an ever-changing group that meets at 9:00am in the choir room to rehearse for 9:30 am services from late June until Labor Day weekend. The role of the summer choir is to help lead the singing of hymns and chants at the 9:30 Eucharist. The music is easy and we don't wear vestments. Just show up, or speak to Max or any choir member for more information.

St. Michael's Singers

1st Grade - 5th Grade

The children and youth choir program at Grace Church is dedicated to nurturing the social, emotional, and spiritual development of young people through singing in community.

The St. Michael’s Singers learn sacred music from the medieval era to today, practicing healthy vocal skills, music reading, and working toward a common goal with focus and discipline. All young people, regardless of experience or skill level, are welcome to join at any time.

Choristers are asked to commit to weekly rehearsals on Sundays, 11:45am -12:15pm from September to May. We perform approximately once per month at the 9:30am Service.

The Teen Choir

6th Grade - 12th Grade

The Teen Choir sings sacred music of all genres, working on more advanced choral skills including harmony, music reading, and stylistic expression. The teens serve as role models and occasional group leaders for the St. Michael’s Singers. We are a welcoming and supportive group, and are always excited to add new members.
