Faith Formation Instructors & Assistants

Faith Formation Instructors

The Children and Youth Faith Formation team is looking to expand our group of lead teachers and substitutes. Instructors may anticipate a commitment of 2 hours of preparation and 1 hour of classroom time each week. Instructors need not have formal training in education; training for faith formation, along with mentoring and support both inside and beyond the classroom, is provided. Grace Church follows the Diocese of New Jersey’s Safeguarding God’s Children policies for those who work with young people, including training and background checks.

 Faith Formation Assistant

In addition to lead teachers, children are supported in faith formation through the presence of caregivers and other adults serving as assistants during the formation time in the gathering and classrooms. While open to other adults, this is an opportunity for parents and grandparents to engage their faith while spending time with the children in their families and their church friends. Grace Church follow the Diocese of New Jersey’s Safeguarding God’s Children policies and practices for those who work with young people, including training and background checks.
