Music at Grace
Music at Grace Church first and foremost gives a voice to everyone who comes through our doors. Our highest calling is to support and enable the entire congregation to sing praise to God and encourage us to build God’s kingdom in the world.
Grace Church has three music ensembles for adults and children: The Adult Choir, the Handbell Choir and the Choristers. All groups practice on the third floor of the Parish Hall.
The Adult Choir
For the Adult Choir, there are TWO practice times every week, giving every member flexibility about when and how often to come:
Thursdays at 7PM;
Sundays from 8:15 to 9:45AM, before the 10AM Eucharist.
If you are unable to come out in the evenings, then the Sunday morning practice time is for you! If you want extra practice, or want to participate in the Compline service, then Thursday nights may work out. Either way, we want to make it possible for you to participate in the Adult Choir. Email Diane Caruso (music@gracehaddon.org) to find out more about how our flexible practice schedule works for you and your family.
Our music schedule for the current season is here. This may be updated occasionally as our forces change and grow!
Music for Children and Youth
Our Chorister Program has its own page: For information about the Choristers, click here to find out everything!
We also develop High School singers through partnerships with local schools by offering stipends to promising students through the Watkins Choral Scholar program. Contact Diane Caruso at the email above for more information about this growing mutual ministry.
Handbell Choir
Our Handbell Choir practices on an ad hoc basis, usually 3-4 after-church sessions before a performance, which is most often a prelude for the 10 AM service. We determine when to meet by conducting a poll, so if you are interested in joining in a set of sessions, please email Diane Caruso (music@gracehaddon.org) to add your name to the list!
After our first Chorister Evensong, every third Wednesday!
